“Aunt” Laura came with us for part of the weekend! Lucky us!! We love her mucho!
For the record, Aven is SCREAMING her lungs out. 🙂 She not a lover of the water so much. It musses her hair and all 🙂

  1. while I was trying ever so hard to listen about Jim’s career challenges, Josh was in “your face” saying talk to me! Look at me!! and then he covered my face in stickers. right there with ya on pretty much everything. Luv the pic with the hotel cart filled to the brim.

  2. Oh my purple rain! LOL Well, you look cute anyway 🙂 Sounds like lots of fun memories. Gorgeous photos. Be encouraged to keep doing what you are doing as far as business integrity. You are storing up treasure in heaven, no matter what it looks like here!

  3. “Purple rain” bbwwhahaha…awesome.

Thx for encouraging Jim and I to take the harder but better path. A sometimes hard path but surely rewarding…
    Surely…yes?!

  4. I linked this blog post onto my FB wall and a friend responded with this..I thought it was very fitting for what, especially Jim, is facing within his choices….

Sounds like you need the Scripture I sent my small group girls today:

Gal 6:7-10 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to… please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Scripture can be a balm to the soul, yes?

  5. Andrea,
Just love the video…and lotsa purple my friend!!!:) Oh well you’ve got to try these things:) At least you love purple as you may need to get used to seeing it for awhile:0

And Aven is a delight:) I love her facial expressions and she is adorable.

I think that passage from Galatians you quote in comments is very appropriate to what you shared about decisions with Jim’s business. God is our ultimate ‘boss’

Love all the photos and looks like a happy, fun weekend:)

  6. Thanks for sharing. It’s hard to explain to most, but what you were talking about with Jim’s career is exactly why I got away from mine. I was convicted in a big way. You guys are doing the right thing being true to yourselves as people of God. The one with the biggest toys in the end isn’t the winner, although the big toys look great (you know what I mean)! I am proud of Jim and his reputation – sometimes all it takes is one error in judgement on an endorsement or whatever to ruin that.

Now…. I want to know WHO took the photos of you and Jim?! Was it one of your kids?

  7. Robbin – yes, I expect you can relate the the many ‘forks in the road’ Jim encounters.

It is ENTIRELY frustrating to see people sell some ‘amazing new online, earn a bunch of money’ training programs for $1,000s+ but have no back end help, blame the customer for not trying hard enough, etc…As the seller walks away with, even though he/she sold a worthless and trumped up little bundle of information, oodles of money.

Now about those pictures…Trey took them amongst much screaming, funny faces, and little kids running away…while I was hollering from the corner of my mouth ‘shoot trey shoot!” 🙂

  8. I gotta give props when they are due though…

It was Trey’s idea to zoom in on our holding hands across the “well”.

And it’s one of my favorites :)) And that’s one of the reasons it IS my favorite 🙂
